AIGA Mentor Program

Explained phenomena.

The AIGA Chicago Mentor Program is a great way to sharpen your collaborative skills, meet new friends and make something awesome.

This time, we led the group to explore possible explanations for every day problems of life in the city. In just 10 weeks, we delved into the idea of myth, sharpened our group storytelling skills, learned all about Risograph from Bad Press, brainstormed at Cards Against Humanity, drank tiny beers, and created a guidebook to Chicago monsters. Then we had to present it all in front of 100 people.

Better together.

In this session, I had just 10 weeks to lead the group through concept development, design and production. Meeting every other week, we had a lot of homework, worked hard in our sessions, and produced printed sets of Eames-style building cards filled with advice. We helped each other put more of ourselves into our work and learned to work together to accomplish more than we thought possible.
